Raising Standards in Science job summary

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead science outreach with the STEM Coordinator and build links with schools and external agencies

  • Support and oversee trainee teachers and ECTs in Science, including timetabling and lesson observations

  • Work with ITT providers to increase the number of trainee science teachers

  • Train and monitor ITT mentors

  • Organise and deliver internal CPD for ECTs and ITTs in Science

  • Track GCSE and A‑level data and plan appropriate interventions

  • Work with the Director of Science and Deputy Head of Science to plan and deliver interventions
