What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an outstanding teacher of Business
and Economics or Geography or DT who is looking to step into their next
leadership role. You will join a strong sixth form team and take
responsibility for driving the KS5 curriculum and managing the academic
progress of our students. The Langley Academy Sixth Form has outstanding
facilities and offers a range of A level and Vocational courses.
« Museum Learning Team – provide ideas and resources to support lesson delivery. For example, the team have provided objects to support the delivery of Economics lessons on poverty and Business lessons on production processes.
« Super Curricular Clubs – students in our Sixth Form have participated in the annual Young Enterprise competition, coming a close second in the regional finals with their innovative bag design.
« Expansive open plan libraries – including a well-stocked sixth form library providing space for reflection and learning.
« Well-equipped and spacious study zone- three large-dedicated spaces staffed and resourced with laptops.
« Sixth Form student and staff gym – well-resourced gym which can be accessed before and after work.
« Sixth Form Book Club – allows students to discover the wider world through reading for pleasure.
« Extended project qualification (EPQ) - students complete a major piece of independent research.
