We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Reading Intervention TA who can support pupils with their reading and inspire and motivate them to be the very best that they can be. The role will include small group work using our Sounds Write programme, intervention groups to support reading fluency and one day a week based within a Year Group (with a reading focus). If you are keen to support vulnerable readers to close gaps in reading and build their confidence through a consistent timetable of daily intervention, this is an opportunity to really make a difference to unlocking the world of reading for these pupils.

We offer training for Sounds Write and Reading Fluency to support you with the interventions. If you have the skills, drive and enthusiasm this could be the perfect role for you!

• someone who loves reading, has an understanding of children’s literature, and is committed to every pupil becoming a confident reader

• a teaching assistant who will genuinely care about our children and who will take time to get to know them, nurture their individual talents, and is committed to supporting them, both personally and academically

• strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to foster good professional relationships very quickly with pupils, families and colleagues

• the ability to foster a culture of enthusiasm, creativity and positivity - someone who will empower our wonderful pupils

• a positive outlook, with integrity, determination and resilience with high expectations of themselves

• someone who will champion a sense of pride in our pupils and our community
