Are you

  • vibrant
  • approachable
  • enthusiastic
  • committed to high quality Early Years education
  • an excellent communicator
  • able to maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff?

If so, we could be the school for you!

Our Reception class is already very well-established and organised; the children are happy and settled, and we pride ourselves on having strong relationships with parents and the wider community.

We need a super teacher who will join us and continue what we've already grown.

The following experience would be ideal:

- previous or current teaching experience in EYFS

- experience of successfully delivering a systematic, synthetic phonics scheme

Our desirable criteria includes:

- experience of using Tapestry as a communication and assessment tool

- experience of following Sounds-Write (phonics), Kinetic Letters (handwriting) and/or Talk for Writing (writing)

Most importantly, we want somebody with a "can do" attitude, who loves working with children and enjoys everything that teaching brings with it!

The Head Teacher's covering letter gives information regarding visits to the school and the planned interview date.

What the school offers its staff

  • one-form entry standalone academy

  • fantastic outdoor provision and grounds
  • Ofsted rated "Good" (January 2023)
  • well-established whole-school systems, schemes and ways of working.

Further details about the role

Supported by the leadership team, they will also be responsible for:

  • administering the Reception Baseline Assessment in September 2024
  • parents' evening during the autumn term 2024, and potentially spring 2025
  • day-to-day communication with parents. including observations on Tapestry
  • working successfully within our EY and KS1 team.
