Essential educational requirements
To be the class teacher of the allocated class, displaying a high level of professional ability.
To be responsible for the education and welfare of this group of children in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment, having due regard to the requirements of the National Curriculum, National Primary Strategy and Academy Policies.
To be responsible for planning, assessing and evaluating the work of each child and keeping appropriate records.
To ensure that a high standard of physical and emotional care for all children is maintained.
To provide advice and support to parents about their child’s development.
To support the Academy's Behaviour Policy, as agreed by staff and governors, to ensure good conduct and behaviour of all the children in school.
To be able to deal with challenging behaviour.
To undertake relevant training and professional development in line with the school development plan.
Qualified Teacher Status
Essential skills and experience
Excellent classroom skills.
A clear understanding of effective Early Years practice.
Recent experience of teaching in an EYFS setting.
Has a commitment to providing an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum.
Holds children in high esteem; has a caring nature and empathy with children
Experience of working cooperatively as a team member.
A commitment to working positively, actively and effectively to provide partnerships with both parents and the wider community.
A supportive and collaborative working ethos, including support from the Federation, Trust and a range of experts, such as specialists in pupil welfare, SEND and behaviour.
Excellent CPD opportunities, including bespoke training based on your own development needs.
