The ideal candidate should have a clear vision for teaching and learning within the EYFS, be proficient in English and maths, and demonstrate the ability to use research-based evidence to inform and reflect upon their teaching practices.
We are looking for someone who:
- puts children at the top of the agenda
- can demonstrate excellent experience teaching within KS1/EYFS with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and primary curriculum.
- has a solid commitment to raising achievement and can excite, inspire and motivate pupils and staff to achieve their best.
- has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is committed to collaborative working, leading, and motivating a team.
- has high expectations about what children can achieve and has the subject knowledge to enable children to rise to these
- has the skills to meet the needs of individuals, raise standards and facilitate an effective transition from the EYFS to the National Curriculum
- will share our school vision and demonstrate commitment to our continued school improvement drive
- able to manage planning and assessment effectively to raise standards.

Maple Grove Primary School is at an exciting stage of its continuing development, building upon the existing successes and looking to grow. We are set on extensive grounds with well-equipped playground equipment.
At Maple Grove, we place great emphasis on the enjoyment of learning. As a school, we are developing a theme approach to make the children's learning exciting and meaningful while ensuring they are rigorously taught all the necessary skills in the core subjects for Reading, Writing, Maths ( Maths no problem), IT and Science. We use the theme approach to teach Geography, History, Art and Design Technology excitingly to further develop the core subjects in context.
