Being a village school has allowed us to have plenty of space for outdoor learning and school trip locations on our doorstep for curriculum enrichment. We have a large playground to the rear of the school, as well as a recreation ground, which is used for sports. For our outdoor learning curriculum, we have a purpose developed ‘wilderness’ area.
We have three classes: Swinney Class which are made up of our Reception and Year 1 pupils; Burn Class is made up of Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 children; and Cover Class which is made up of our oldest children in Year 5 and 6. Our school is supported by a dedicated team of teaching assistants.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified teacher to join our close, welcoming team, to work with our Reception/Year 1 children, and to lead EYFS, Phonics/Early Reading and Creative Curriculum areas. You will have a passion for teaching and be able to motivate our children to achieve the highest possible standards. You will be creative and will enjoy inspiring our children. You will have the ability to develop warm relationships with children, staff and parents. You must be an excellent and enthusiastic classroom practitioner with the desire for pupils to reach their potential.
