Receptionist/Admin Officer job summary

Location

The Hub (6th Form Centre), Welcombe Hills School, Drayton Avenue, Stratford upon Avon, CV37 9LD

*The role will mainly be based at The Hub (6th form centre) Drayton Avenue however, the post holder may be asked to work at the main school site at Blue Cap Road as and when required.

What we need

We are looking to appoint a professional receptionist/administrator to provide a high quality service on reception and administrative support to the school.

As the first point of contact for the school, the ideal candidate will have previous experience working in busy reception or an administrative environment, have good communication and interpersonal skills, work effectively as part of a team and have a 'can do' attitude and work with minimal supervision.

The main duties of the role are:

  • Managing visitor access in accordance with security and safeguarding procedures
  • Deal with face to face, telephone and general email enquiries from a range of people including pupils, parents, staff, contractors and other visitors
  • Receive deliveries and follow internal procedures to distribute efficiently
  • Take responsibility of the reception area, making sure it is tidy and welcoming.
  • Verify ID documentation of visitors, agency staff and contractors
  • Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and other Senior Leaders, as directed
  • Update and maintain management information systems
