The Trustees and Governors of Tuckswood Academy and Nursery are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Receptionist/Administrative Assistant for our busy Academy office.

We are looking to appoint a permanent Receptionist / Administrative Assistant for our school office.

Personal qualities are also of paramount importance, and the person appointed will be expected to display enthusiasm, energy, good humour, flexibility and reliability. They must also have the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.

Applicants should have very good interpersonal skills; good general knowledge of ICT and data based applications, word processing and general office skills. These are essential to enable the post holder to maintain the day to day administrative processes for the Academy.

Your duties will include, these will vary based on Academy requirements:

  • Ensuring visitors and callers to the Academy are courteously and correctly received

  • Dealing with daily registers

  • Ordering lunches

  • Managing before and after school club bookings, grouping children for sports clubs

  • Collecting and checking monies coming into the office

  • Taking and passing on messages, responding to enquiries

  • Updating pupil files, newsletter, photocopying, filing etc.

Previous experience of working in a school environment is preferable but not essential.
