Weekly working hours – 07:30 to 16:00 Tuesday and Thursday

Cams Hill School is seeking to appoint a warm, efficient, and proactive Receptionist and First Aid Cover to join our supportive administrative team. This is a vital front-of-house role that serves as the first point of contact for the school and provides essential first aid cover to support the health and wellbeing of our students and staff.

As a key member of the administration team, you will welcome visitors, manage a range of enquiries, and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations at our busy reception desk. You will also deliver first aid as needed, manage the school’s medical room, and maintain accurate records.

The successful candidate will:

Understanding of safeguarding (training will be provided)

Be approachable, professional, and caring, with a calm and reassuring manner

Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrate sound administrative experience and confidence with IT systems

Hold (or be willing to complete) a valid First Aid at Work qualification

Be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and remain composed under pressure

Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming and assisting visitors, parents, staff, and pupils in person, on the phone, and via email

Maintaining the reception area and ensuring a professional first impression of the school

Providing first aid assistance and supporting students' health needs

Maintaining medical supplies, records, and incident logs

Supporting administrative tasks including attendance, communication, and data entry

Liaising with school staff, parents/carers, and external agencies as required
