Working at the heart of our front office team, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive first impression for students, staff, families, and visitors. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys people‑focused work and wants to make a real difference in a supportive and values-driven school community.

Why Join Us?

Experience in a school environment is helpful but not essential—if you have strong administrative skills, enjoy helping others, and are confident in a front-facing role, we would love to hear from you.

Your Key Responsibilities

As our Receptionist, you will:

  • Work 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, term time only
  • Provide a warm, efficient and friendly service to all visitors, students, and staff
  • Manage incoming calls, handle enquiries and direct messages appropriately
  • Ensure all visitor procedures—including safeguarding checks and lanyard distribution—are followed meticulously
  • Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with professionalism

What We Offer

  • A salary £21,386-£22,065 (Band 2, Scale Point 3-5)
  • Wonderful students who are eager to learn and thrive
  • A welcoming, supportive staff team and a collaborative working environment
  • Nationally agreed pay and conditions for all support staff
  • Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (with employer contributions over 20%)
  • Exceptional CPD opportunities tailored to your role
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme offering emotional, financial and legal support
  • Staff benefits including discount schemes and a Cycle-to-Work programme
  • Term-time-only working for a great work-life balance

Visits are warmly welcomed so you can see for yourself, and we encourage you to talk to us to learn more about the role. Please contact school office at admin@stbedesscunthorpe.org.uk or on (01724) 245151 to arrange a visit or to discuss the role further.
