Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a talented individual to provide an exceptional business support service to our pupils, teachers and wider stakeholders. As a key member of our school’s business support team, your expertise will help to deliver an outstanding learning environment for our young people.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and specialist technical skills. You will have extensive experience of delivering outstanding customer service and possess the ability to develop relationships across our school and the Star community.

You will have:

  • NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Good level of literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE standard or experience in relevant discipline.
  • Experience working in an administrative/reception role.
  • Proven experience of dealing with people, either in person or over the telephone to the required standards of service.
  • Organisational and efficient administrative skills.
  • Effective use of IT software packages e.g. MS Office and data bases and its application in schools.

The Olive School, Birmingham is a Muslim faith-based, primary school for 4 to 11 year olds, which welcomes pupils from all faiths and none. We opened in Sparkhill in 2016 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism. We were graded as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted during our first inspection in June 2019. At our last inspection in February 2025, the school was commended for upholding the same high standards of academic excellence, teaching, character development and behaviour that resulted in the school’s previous ‘Outstanding’ rating.

The Olive School, Birmingham is a 630 place Muslim faith based primary school which welcomes children from all faiths and none. The school opened in September 2016, admitting 90 children into Reception and 90 children into Year 1. It will welcome another 90 children into Reception each September and will reach its full size in 2021. Like all Star schools, it has “Leadership” as a specialism.
