The Romsey School is seeking a dedicated Reflection Intervention Leader to join our Student Support Team. This is a restorative role focused on helping students overcome behavioural challenges through structured intervention and positive relationships.
About the Role:
The Reflection Intervention Leader will take the lead in managing and running our Reflection Room – a calm, supportive environment where students can reflect on their behaviour and receive tailored intervention and learning. - Build strong, supportive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Help reintegrate students back into the classroom and promote long-term behaviour improvement.
- Keep accurate records of interventions, attendance, and progress.
- Contribute to a culture of high expectations and positive behaviour.
- Support the on-call system and respond to behavioural incidents as needed.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bring experience of working in a pastoral or student support role (preferably in a school).
- Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour using restorative strategies.
- Believe that every mistake is a stepping stone for young people to become their best selves.
- Be well-organised, calm under pressure, and proactive.
- Show a genuine commitment to the wellbeing and success of all students.
- Be a team player with a collaborative approach.
Desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of SEND and strategies to support students with additional needs.
- Experience using school systems for recording and monitoring behaviour.
- Previous experience of delivering small group or 1:1 interventions.
