What skills and experience we're looking for

Role: Regional SENDCo Lead

Start Date: January 2026 or sooner if possible

Salary: L8 - L12

Working Pattern: Full Time, Permanent

We are therefore seeking a passionate and experienced Regional SENDCo Lead to work across a community of 4 schools, allowing you to carry out the duties as the designated SENDCo for Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth, while also offering support and guidance to other SENCOs within our community of schools.

As Regional SENDCo Lead you will embody the Trust value “we break down barriers” in the pursuit to ensure no SEND student is left behind.

About the role:

As a Regional SENCO Lead, you'll be the driving force behind our commitment to outstanding SEND provision across our school community. You will not only lead the crucial SENCO duties within your own designated school but also play a vital, high-impact role in mentoring and overseeing other SENCOs within the community, ensuring the highest quality of inclusive practice for every student with SEND.

This is a dynamic leadership opportunity where you will:

  • Lead and Inspire to set the standard for SEND excellence.
  • Identify and Implement key improvements in provision.
  • Build Strong Partnerships with local authorities and partners.
  • Disseminate Best Practice through CPD and collaborative networking.
