The role of Regional Vice Principal at Ormiston Academies Trust offers a unique opportunity to aspiring leaders seeking to broaden their horizons and make a real difference. You will spearhead impact-driven strategic leadership across our academies in Norfolk and Suffolk, working on specific whole academy improvements, enabling you to build a solid foundation for your journey to becoming a Principal.

Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) is one of the largest not-for-profit multi-academy trusts in England. We educate over 35,000 pupils across five OAT regions, in 42 schools. At Ormiston Academies Trust, we believe in the power of education to transform lives. In this next phase of OAT’s development as a trust, we are building a longer-term, evidence-informed and sustainable approach to improving schools and education for children. As Regional Vice Principal, you will be at the forefront of this transformation, influencing positive change in some of the most deprived areas in the country.

In this role, you will work closely with the education directors covering Norfolk and Suffolk to drive impactful strategic leadership and improvement across ten secondary academies. Each term, you will work closely with two assigned academies, and by drawing on your understanding of educational development, strategy and thinking, you will support them to drive improvement on agreed priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a strategic leader for whole academy improvement, making an impact on the agreed priorities
  • Develop strategies for rapid improvement, in conjunction with the Principal and SLT establish a team that will support the strategic objectives and ensure success
  • Collaborate with staff and pupils, to support a culture where high expectations are met and everyone can excel
  • Be supportive to assigned academies on their journey of improvement
  • Ensure policies and procedures around behaviour and attitudes are embedded throughout the academy

You will be an experienced educational leader who shares our belief in the power of education to change lives, and have the intellectual, interpersonal and operational capabilities to drive improvement on a regional scale.

Use your knowledge of up to date educational developments, to lead and support teams to deliver on outcomes.

Be an example for the high expectations we set upon the academies and be flexible and responsive to changing demands in the role.
