What skills and experience we're looking for
Religious Education is a popular and really successful subject in our school. All students study it for GCSE with results being above average and attitudes towards the subject are excellent. We want to stretch and challenge our students and bring the teaching of Religious Education to life. We have a strong ethos of developing our students as a whole and therefore focus on the philosophical and moral aspects as well teaching of different religions.
Religious Education is taught in dedicated accommodation with an inspirational and very successful Curriculum Leader. We strive to have excellent, creative and innovative practice in our Religious Education practice having been awarded the RE Quality Mark Gold in 2024. The successful candidate would need to be able to teach up to KS5 and be keen to contribute to the life of our school. This position is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT.
For ECTs interested in applying we are delivering the Early Career Framework in partnership with the Ambition Institute as their coaching model complements the established coaching practices we have in school for all teaching staff.
