Teacher of Religious Studies Main Pay Range Full-time or part-time required for September 2020 We seek to appoint a motivated, energetic and enthusiastic teacher of Religious Studies. We are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge, who is able to respond positively and creatively to the expectations of the subject. The successful candidate must have good organisation and communication skills and embrace school life. John Hanson is a successful 11-16 community school, our students are friendly and confident and we strive to ensure that they achieve the success that they deserve. If you are an NQT, we have a successful NQT induction program which will offer the candidate full support. Religious Studies is a thriving subject within the school – there are currently 3 GCSE groups across key stage 4. Over the last 3 years, RS has averaged 76% at grades 9-4 and an impressive 40% at grade 9-7! We welcome informal conversations with the Headteacher. Location and History

John Hanson Community School is a thriving, mixed gender 11-16 community school in South West Andover, Hampshire, with almost 1000 students. The school has a rich history, dating back to 1582, and was previously known as Andover Free School and Andover Grammar School. In 1974 the school was renamed John Hanson School in honour of its founder, and moved to the current site on Floral Way in 2001.
