What skills and experience we're looking for

Crookhorn College is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and highly skilled, experienced practitioner from a Primary or Secondary school setting to take on the role of Resourced Provision Manager. This is a key leadership position with a Teaching & Learning Responsibility (TLR), overseeing our specialist Resourced Provision for 15 children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and supporting high‑quality SEND practice across the College.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and manage our Resourced Provision, ensuring a high-quality, inclusive environment for all students allocated to the provision.
  • Be responsible for the identification, assessment and coordination of exam access arrangements.
  • Lead on all EHCP processes for students within the Resourced Provision, working closely with external professionals and families.
  • Oversee and evaluate intervention programmes and maintain an up‑to‑date SEN provision map.
  • Manage the deployment and development of Teaching Assistants within the Resourced Provision.
  • Deliver and support CPD for staff across the school, with particular emphasis on ASD and specialist provision.
  • Work collaboratively with the Transition Team, external agencies and internal colleagues to ensure effective support for students with significant SEND needs.
  • Contribute to the annual SEND audit and ensure all practice aligns with Ofsted expectations for effective SEN resource management.
  • Have a significantly reduced teaching workload, focused primarily as an SEN teacher

About You

  • Qualified SENCO status is preferred, however training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Experience of working with children with ASD is essential.
  • Primary or Secondary education experience is welcome.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCP processes and inclusive practice.
  • Ability to lead, inspire and support a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for young people with complex needs.
  • Be comfortable in the public domain and leading whole College projects successfully.
  • Have the ability to think strategically and solve problems.
  • Have a clear vision for raising outcomes.
  • Be inspirational and motivate others.
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner particularly in regards to teaching and learning.
  • Have a passion for outstanding learning no matter what the cognitive barrier.
