What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience of teaching in at least one primary school.
  • Experience of working with SEND students, especially children with ASC.
  • Experience of identification, curricular planning and monitoring the progress of SEND students.
  • A sound understanding of the ethos and values that underpin developing a fully inclusive extended school.
  • Experience teaching different primary phase year groups.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Commit to the principles and policies of equal opportunities.
  • Effectively create personalised provisions for pupils.
  • Communicate with others effectively.
  • Establish strong leadership roles when developing, implementing and evaluating policies and practices.
  • Motivate pupils and colleagues to recognise and respond to the diverse needs of learners.
  • Demonstrate recent and relevant CPD activities.
  • Experience of nurture provision.
  • Design opportunities for pupils to develop their literacy and thinking and learning skills within all topics.
  • Relate to children and adults.
