At Thomas Deacon Academy (TDA), we believe that safeguarding and wellbeing is everyone’s responsibility. We are committed to providing a safe environment for our students. As a Safeguarding Administrator, you’ll play a crucial role in directly supporting students and their families and will work closely with your pastoral team.
Your Role:
Support Students: Work closely with our dedicated Safeguarding Officer to provide direct support to students and their families. Your empathy and understanding will make a difference.
Collaborate: Assist staff within pastoral teams, ensuring a holistic approach to student welfare.
Information Gathering: Assist with information gathering and the preparation of reports for safeguarding-related meetings. Your attention to detail matters.
Attend Conferences: Participate in meetings related to Child in Need (CIN) or Child Protection (CP) plans. Your presence matters.
Daily Checks: Monitor students with CP and CIN plans, ensuring attendance and follow-up.
Log Management: Keep safeguarding logs up to date on Myconcern. Your organisation matters.
Visitor Management: Facilitate emergency meeting requests and escort visitors.
Online Monitoring: Lead monitoring and filtering systems.
Staff Support: Ensure all staff have access to safeguarding information.
You Bring:
Minimum Level 2 Qualification: Proficiency in English and Maths.
Office Skills: Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Customer Care: Understanding of good customer care practices.
Experience with Youth: Bonus points if you’ve worked with young people, especially in a school environment.
Confidentiality: You’ll handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.
Policy Adherence: Strictly follow our safeguarding and prevent policies.
