Safeguarding and Alternative Provision Manager job summary

This is a permanent role for 35.00 hrs per week, Term Time (39 weeks)+ on-call duties in school holidays for emergency child protection meetings.
Vacancy Details
Nyland is an SEMH Primary School in Swindon for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. We aim to build an ethos of emotional awareness and understanding and we celebrate the diversity and uniqueness in our school.
We couldn’t do what we do without our fantastic staff team, and we are now looking for an inspirational and knowledgeable Safeguarding and Alternative Provision Manager to join us. This role would be suitable for someone who is experienced in SEMH and can oversee the daily management of Safeguarding at the school and ensure that the pupils are given appropriate monitoring and care.
If you are passionate and have relevant experience working with young children with SEMH needs,looking to continue your career in a challenging but highly rewarding role within our school we would like to hear from you. All About You
Do you have what it takes to join us? The Safeguarding and Alternative Provision Manager we would like to join us will be:
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or relevant
- Qualified DSL certification or extensive experience in safeguarding and child protection
- Experience in managing alternative provisions and working in an SEMH or similar setting, preferably Primary School
- Excellent interpersonal skills like problem solving, communication and organizational skills
