What skills and experience we're looking for

Trinity School is an all age (3 to 19) modern, vibrant Special School catering for the needs of students who have a wide range of learning difficulties including; moderate, severe, profound and complex. A number of our pupils also have an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).


What the school offers its staff

Trinity School is looking for an experienced Safeguarding and Family Support Manager who will work closely with SEND families, parents, and carers of pupils with significant learning difficulties and disabilities attending Trinity School, ensuring that pupils have full access to educational opportunities, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their full potential in both the home and school setting.

This position is ideal for someone with a background in social work who is passionate about working within an educational setting. The role of Safeguarding and Family Support Manager at Trinity School offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in supporting families, ensuring the well-being of students with significant learning difficulties and disabilities. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families, this role will allow you to contribute meaningfully to a vibrant and inclusive school community.

Job Purpose: Lead safeguarding and child protection efforts, including online safety, at Trinity School. Collaborate with social services and external agencies to ensure student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all safeguarding activities and policies.
  • Develop intervention plans for complex situations.
  • Train and support staff on safeguarding issues.
  • Maintain confidential records and prepare reports.
  • Support SEND students and their families.
  • Liaise with social services and attend/ and or co-ordinate multi-agency meetings.
  • Support a large team of Designated Safeguarding Leads to triage records of concern as appropriate
  • Lead our team of family support workers, developing the school’s Family Support offer which includes a brand-new Family Centre which is due to be completed this summer
