Archbishop Sentamu Academy is an 11-18 Church of England Academy, sponsored by the Diocese of York. We were established in September 2008 on the site of our predecessor school, and moved into a superb, £35 million pound building in September 2011 as part of the Hull BSF programme. We currently have around 1410 students on roll.

At Archbishop Sentamu Academy, our aim is to bring the highest standards of education to the young people in our local area. Our distinctively Christian vision is that everyone will be able ‘to lead the best life possible’, now – and in the future. Our vision is lived out through our academy values of Respect, Community, Courage and Wisdom.

Whilst we insist on rigorously high academic standards for all, we also focus on developing the whole student and promoting their well-being. By offering inspirational teaching and a range of extra-curricular activities, we strive to ensure that our students are safe, happy and given every chance to flourish and to lead the best life possible. We look forward to working with you all to ensure we achieve this.
