We are looking to appoint an individual with extensive background in safeguarding children and young people to lead our safeguarding team.
The Avenue Centre is looking to recruit an experienced and skilled Safeguarding Manager. This is a fundamentally important position within our staff team. It requires a highly focussed individual to lead on all elements of safeguarding within our school. The successful candidate would be joining a strong, diverse and forward thinking team who have excellent relationships with pupils, parents/carers, external colleagues and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, emotionally intelligent and most importantly of all experienced in the safeguarding of young people and their communities. The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring that all pupils at our school can flourish, regardless of personal circumstances or background.
This is a non-teaching post.
The Avenue Centre for Education is a school serving the town of Luton. We work with multiple partners to transform the lives of the children in our care, working holistically to create an environment in which they can learn, achieve and thrive. We provide a curriculum and learning environment that allows pupils to rebuild their education and either successfully return to mainstream education or achieve a mainstream post 16 destination of choice. Significant emphasis is placed on working in partnership with families, partner schools, alternative provisions and external professionals, to develop an individual approach for every pupil which supports their success.Start Date: December 2023 Hours: Minimum37 hours per week, Term Time Plus INSET days (39 Weeks)

Are available to work five days per week, Monday to Friday.
