Safeguarding Manager job summary

Rowan Gate Primary School is a vibrant, inclusive learning community committed to nurturing every child’s potential. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Safeguarding Manager to take strategic responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across our school.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in safeguarding or child protection within education or social care.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead safeguarding across the school.
  • Empathetic, resilient, and committed to promoting equality and inclusion.

This role is a permanent, full time position working 52 weeks per year.

We welcome visits to the school prior to application. Rowan Gate Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Travel between our sites may be necessary on a frequent basis.

All applicants should hold or be willing to undergo a DBS Enhanced Disclosure. Appointments will also be subject to confirmation of right to work, satisfactory health clearance, satisfactory references from previous employers, in addition to other clearance checks. In addition, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, we are also required to carry out online searches for all successfully shortlisted candidates.
