What skills and experience we're looking for
St Teresa of Calcutta Academy Trust Central Team are currently seeking a Safeguarding Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.

This is a unique opportunity to take on a strategic and operational role that directly impacts the lives of children and young people – ensuring every school is confident, compliant and inspection ready.
As Safeguarding Officer, you will:
- Lead safeguarding audits and action planning across Trust schools,
- Deliver tailored briefings, and mock inspections,
- Provide practice support for DSL’s, especially those new to the role,
- Develop toolkits, resources and Trust-wide policies aligned with KCSIE and Ofsted,
- Maintain clear records and contribute to Trust Board reporting.

We are seeking an individual who has:
- Level 3 Safeguarding qualification or above
- DSL training and experience in a safeguarding leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework
- Confidence in managing cases and working with external partners
- Experience in leading on complex safeguarding
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
