About the Role
City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer starting in January 2025. You will join our pastoral team where you will be responsible for child protection and looked after children. You will have meetings with and liaise with external support agencies such as CAMHS, refugee therapy centre and Coram Parenting Service.
Normal hours will be between 8.00am - 4.00pm (with a 1 hour lunch break). It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued. There are also INSET training days and TWILIGHT evenings throughout the academic year which you are expected to attend.

About you
You will have experience as a Safeguarding Officer in a school dealing with safeguarding and child protection problems. You will be expected to manage your own workload and prioritise work appropriately. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
