Join our dedicated team at Consett Academy as a Safeguarding Officer, supporting the Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in the vital role of implementing safeguarding and child protection policies. You will act as a key point of contact for safeguarding queries, providing essential advice to colleagues, and supporting students through sensitive matters. The ideal candidate will have sustained experience working with young people in an education setting, a good understanding of safeguarding procedures, and strong communication skills. You will be responsible for monitoring safeguarding incidents, preparing reports, and ensuring student welfare throughout the day.
