What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, caring and supportive individual who will oversee the day to day operational running of the safeguarding systems and procedures here at Oakwood Academy.
We take safeguarding extremely seriously and have a really inclusive whole school approach to safeguarding. This role will see the right person liaising with the pastoral teams, teaching staff and wider community to ensure all of our students are cared for under the leadership of the Assistant Headteacher (pastoral) and Designated Safeguard Lead (DSL).
The person we are looking for will have an awareness of safeguarding roles and responsibilities, be knowledgeable of local and national safeguarding developments, have working knowledge of KCSIE and Working Together to Safeguard Children and other national documentation relevant to the safeguarding of school children. They will be able to liaise with outside agencies to report, monitor and work alongside our families.
