Salcombe CE Primary School - 1:1 Teaching Assistant, 13 hrs per week job summary
The First Federation Trust, a multi academy trust of 29 primary schools across Devon, West Dorset and Plymouth is looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant for Salcombe CE Primary School. This role is for 13 hours per week, on Mondays and Tuesdays, term-time until August 31st 2025.
The role will be primarily supporting a child with SEND needs, but will also involve working with small groups of children. Phonics training will be provided.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum.
- To deliver targeted interventions.
- To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
- To work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion. There is an element of Mealtime Assistant linked to this role. Previous experience of working within a school is desirable but not essential.
