This is a key front-of-house role, and we are looking for someone who can work with accuracy, professionalism and calm efficiency at all times.

As the first point of contact for students, staff, parents and external visitors, the successful candidate must be able to:

Manage a high volume of telephone calls, emails and enquiries with professionalism and clear communication.

Maintain strict safeguarding procedures, including managing visitor sign-in, ID checks and access control.

Prioritise tasks independently and respond effectively to unexpected issues in a fast-paced environment.

Use administrative systems accurately (e.g. SIMS/Arbor or similar), updating records, preparing documents and supporting wider school operations.

Remain composed and confident when dealing with sensitive or challenging situations.

Due to the level of responsibility and pace of this role, we are particularly seeking candidates who have:

Recent experience working in a school office or a similarly demanding administrative environment.

Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

A proven track record of managing competing priorities under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

If you have not previously worked in a busy front-line administrative role, or you prefer a quieter or more predictable working environment, this position may not be the best match.

Please read the Job Description and Person Specification carefully before applying.

In your personal statement, ensure you provide clear, detailed examples demonstrating how your previous experience equips you for the specific responsibilities of this role.
