Applications are invited for the post of School Administrator at Grove Road Primary School. We are seeking an organised, friendly, and proactive School Administrator to join our busy school office. You will be the first point of contact for families, staff, and visitors, playing a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient running of the school.

We are looking for someone who:

Is highly organised and able to prioritise effectively

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Is confident using IT systems (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom experience beneficial) and has previous experience using Microsoft Office and Google Apps

Works well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment

Is able to be flexible in the face of unexpected changes

Is approachable, professional, and committed to supporting the school community

Understands and upholds safeguarding responsibilities

Key roles and responsibilities include:

Provide a warm, professional reception for parents, pupils, and visitors

Manage day‑to‑day administrative tasks, including correspondence, phone calls, and emails

Manage the administrative function of the school

Manage the admissions process and maintain accurate pupil records

Manage attendance

Oversee Dinner Numbers alongside Admin Assistant

Support staff with administrative needs and school communications

Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

Liaise confidently with external agencies and the wider school community

Fulfil statutory duties such as the school census and other DfE reporting

Website and social media administration

Document management and archive oversight

Any other office duties and cover as required

The successful candidate will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including: an enhanced DBS; Prohibition check; qualifications; identity (including online check) and right to work. All applicants will be required to provide two references.

If you have lived outside the UK within the last 5 years, you will be required to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct or a police certificate from the country/countries you have resided in. Kindly note that this is at the expense of the candidate, as well as any costs involved for translating into English.
