School Administrator job summary
Quethiock CofE Primary School is looking to appoint a School Administrator with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Quethiock is a friendly school with an emphasis on working with the community. Our staff are welcoming and all share the “Bring It” ethos to improve outcomes for children. The role is 25 hours per week working Monday to Friday. This is a term time only role.

The role will include: answering phones, greeting visitors, and being the first point of contact for all parents and visitors to school.
- providing routine administrative support such as filing, photocopying, collating and taking messages
- keeping records of pupils’ attendance registers
- phoning parents, sending out letters, regarding absences and lateness
- maintaining the school website and social media accounts.
- A polite telephone manner is essential for this role, along with the confidence to meet and greet visitors.
- SIMS experience is desirable.
- Training will be arranged on the Trust’s financial software PS Financials and MIS Software; Bromcom.
Sensitivity, patience and an ability to work on your own initiative are necessary qualities, as well as the ability to work as part of our effective and caring team.
The successful candidates should also have good communication skills, a desire to facilitate children’s learning, working within a learning community and a commitment to working in partnership with parents and liaising with outside agencies.
