School Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Administrator working at Somerby Primary School to provide a confidential and high quality administration and health and safety compliance checks for the school.

This position is a fixed term contract until the end of this academic year (10th July 2026), working 17.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (8.30 am - 12pm) term time only.

We are looking for someone who would fit perfectly into our small, but mighty team, who has recent and relevant work experience to be able to undertake a range of office administration accurately and efficiently. You will be able to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team. It is essential that you have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent, and ideally have a knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour, and child protection policies (although this can be learnt as part of the role).

We are looking for someone who is kind and friendly with excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, both written and verbal and with excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively and respond swiftly to tight deadlines.

You will also complete daily, weekly, and monthly compliance checks, including playground inspection and water temperature checks. Full training will be given to enable the successful candidate to carry out all compliance checks.

As well as this you will get the opportunity to work with our children and support them over the lunchtime period.

5.6 weeks paid holiday entitlement rising to 6.44 weeks after 5 years’ continuous service
