School Business Manager job summary

Dr South's CE Primary School are looking to appoint a School Business Manager. We are looking for a confident, experienced professional, who has a self-driven approach to problem solving and high-level communication, literacy and numeracy skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with enthusiasm and drive to join a high performing school. The successful post holder will work alongside committed and like-minded colleagues, both in school and as part of the Trust's wider network of school business professionals.

The School Business Manager (SBM) is responsible for assisting the Headteacher with the financial management, health and safety, human resources, and compliance and administration within our school. They will assist with the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently.

Dr South's is a small village school located at the heart of the community. There are excellent links with parents and the wider community, and an extensive enrichment programme that sets us apart from other primary schools. As well as the purpose built Lin Cooper Practical Skills Building, where we offer dedicated cookery lessons each day and a designated art area, we also have access to The Jacob's Field for Forest School and outdoor learning for all children.

Islip is easy to get to from the A34, the M40 and from Oxford itself. We have strong links with the local church and are proud to have been serving the Islip community for over 300 years.
