The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a business management role, ideally within an educational setting.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, financial and administrative skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with parents, staff, governors, and external stakeholders
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to handle a demanding workload effectively
- The skills and ability to work with IT based management and financial information systems
- High expectations of self and professional standards
- Experience of handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
- A commitment to the safeguarding of children

Further details about the role
The Headteacher and Governing Board are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed School Business Manager to oversee and manage our school’s administration, finance, HR, health and safety and premises. The role also involves line management of the office staff and site manager. The School Business Manager will work closely with the Headteacher, Governors, SLT and Local Authority to ensure the provision of efficient and effective services throughout the school.

Kingmoor Junior School is situated in a residential suburb two miles north of Carlisle City Centre close to exit 44 of the M6 motorway. It is an above average sized school with 337 pupils on roll currently divided into twelve single age classes.
