School Business Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional School Business Manager. The Business Manager is the most senior support staff professional in school whose role is to provide comprehensive support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the school meets its educational aims and objectives by leading and managing first class business and corporate service functions.

The successful candidate will line manage and oversee the school’s office and administration function, catering function, the midday supervisory team, and Site Officer.

The successful candidate will also oversee the school’s finance and budgetary activities in partnership with our Trust Executive team. Undertake the HR, and recruitment requirements for the school. The Business Manager role will also interface extensively with and be a key partner to, our Trust Chief Financial and Operations Officer, Trust HR, IT and Finance teams.

We are looking for a professional and skilled individual who has passion and energy. You will need to have excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills and be fully proficient in the use of a variety of IT systems including MS Office and be confident in adapting to new systems.

We are a forward-thinking team and require a leader who can drive and support change with the ability to take on ad hoc school projects. You will need to be able to form positive relationships with our children, staff, parents, governors, and visitors. You will need to be flexible, responding to priorities and problem solving as required.

This is a key post in a 'fast paced' environment and requires a forward thinking, responsive professional reporting to the Headteacher and Trust Chief Finance and Operating Officer. You don’t have to have worked in an education environment before but a passion for helping improve the education of our students through providing high quality business support is essential.

Salary will be paid at NJC SCP Grade 10, Point 28-32,

Actual salary £39,152 - £42,839 per annum.

  • The appointment is for 37 hours per week, 52 Weeks

8.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday - Thursday. 8.00 am - 3.30 pm Friday

25 Days holiday per annum, rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service
