School Chef/Cook job summary
The role will be term time only 9:00 - 14:30 approximately 25 hours a week. Start/end time and hours negotiable. We are looking for someone who has a passion for food and is a creative cook; who will deliver consistently high-quality meals for our students. Many of our young people rely on us to deliver a healthy and nutritious warm meal on a consistent daily basis. They face or have faced challenging experiences in life and hot food served with love goes a long way to helping them cope with their social and emotional difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook nutritious, balanced meals for our students, considering dietary restrictions and allergies. Roughly on average 30-40 meals a day.
Be responsible for delivering a good quality service and ensuring meals are presented and served in an attractive way.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen.
To control and order provisions creating and presenting school meals across the trust.
Cater for staff inset and twilight training sessions.
