Cleaning Supervisor job summary

Terms and ConditionsHours: 1:45pm - 5:45pm (4 hours a day)Days: Monday to Friday - term time only, including training daysWeeks paid: 45.4 weeks per year
Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Undertake cleaning duties, in line with job description for a cleaner
  • Organise the room/area allocations of a team of cleaning staff for day to day cleaning and holiday deep cleans, taking into account any absences and priorities
  • Train all staff in how to clean all areas to a high standard using the right equipment and cleaning products (including refilling and stocking up of their areas).
  • Supervise cleaning staff on a daily basis, including providing pastoral support if required
  • Undertake regular inspections of all areas to assess standard of cleaning
  • Maintain any records required by the Site Manager/Agent.
  • Report to the Site Manager/Agent if cleaning is not up to standard so that this can be addressed formally with individuals.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are stored appropriately after the clean.
  • Keep the cleaning cupboard stocked up with a reasonable supply of all items (moving from the container as and when needed)
  • Ensure all washing is complete
  • Keep a record of all cleaning materials and regularly inform the Site Manager/Agent in good time to reorder to avoid shortages.
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential or sensitive information.
  • To undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required.
