Cleaning Supervisor job summary
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Undertake cleaning duties, in line with job description for a cleaner
- Organise the room/area allocations of a team of cleaning staff for day to day cleaning and holiday deep cleans, taking into account any absences and priorities
- Train all staff in how to clean all areas to a high standard using the right equipment and cleaning products (including refilling and stocking up of their areas).
- Supervise cleaning staff on a daily basis, including providing pastoral support if required
- Undertake regular inspections of all areas to assess standard of cleaning
- Maintain any records required by the Site Manager/Agent.
- Report to the Site Manager/Agent if cleaning is not up to standard so that this can be addressed formally with individuals.
- Ensure materials and equipment are stored appropriately after the clean.
- Keep the cleaning cupboard stocked up with a reasonable supply of all items (moving from the container as and when needed)
- Ensure all washing is complete
- Keep a record of all cleaning materials and regularly inform the Site Manager/Agent in good time to reorder to avoid shortages.
- To maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential or sensitive information.
- To undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required.
