School Chef job summary

This is a unique opportunity for a talented chef to play a key role in supporting young people through the provision of high-quality, freshly prepared meals and by becoming an integral member of our wider school community.

We are looking for someone who shares our inspirational and forward-thinking approach to education and wellbeing. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, nutrition and making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.

The School Chef will lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of healthy, appealing and nutritious meals that meet School Food Standards while maintaining the highest levels of food safety and compliance.

This role offers extensive support and development, including specialist training through an external partner, alongside ongoing hands-on guidance and mentoring. However, the successful candidate must be able to learn quickly, develop confidence in the role and become largely self-sufficient within the first three months of employment.
