School Cleaner job summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a part time cleaner at Reigate School. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The position involves light cleaning such as vacuuming and wiping down desks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clean classrooms, hallways, offices and other areas within the school
  • Empty bins and dispose of waste
  • Sweep, mop and vacuum floors
  • Follow Health and Safety guidelines including COSHH regulations

We are looking for individuals who:

  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Have previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school of similar environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Have the ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level
  • Are able to work independently and as part of a team

This is a part time position working 20 hours per week over 42 weeks per annum (term time only plus an additional 3 weeks). The actual working hours are negotiable and can be worked in the morning or afternoon.

The full time equivalent annual salary is £23,322 and the pro rata annual salary is £12,004.
