School Cleaner job summary
We are seeking to appoint a hard working and dedicated cleaner to join our busy cleaning team. You will be expected to work as part of a team, completing various cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure the children's learning environment is always clean and welcoming. This is an important role in our school and attention to detail is key.
We are a one form entry primary school consisting of approx 225 children with a preschool nursery on site, breakfast, after school and holiday club facilities.
The successful candidate will:
- Contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of any children you may come into contact with
- Have experience in cleaning duties and knowledge of best practises in cleaning
- Have a can do attitude and the ability to work under own initiative without supervision
- Be aware of the importance of providing a quality service and the importance of hygiene to satisfy the cleaning requirements of the school
- Have the ability to work constructively and communicate effectively as part of a team
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of any children you may come into contact with
We are offering the opportunity to work in a welcoming environment with a highly dedicated staff team and contributing to the Catholic ethos of the school. Training and support will be offered to the successful candidate to ensure they meet the minimum expectation of understanding Keeping Children Safe in Eduation, Level 1 Safeguarding and Health & Safety obligations in relation to the role.
8.5 hours a week, 41.03 weeks a year (term time only + 3 weeks+ 1 inset day)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6am - 7.45am 4 days a week and 6am - 7.30am 1 day a week (or the possibility to complete hours from 4pm onwards for the right candidate)
