School Counsellor job summary

SCHOOL COUNSELLOR

14 HOURS PER WEEK

We are seeking to appoint an organised, enthusiastic and committed School Counsellor to join our pastoral team, who can make a difference for the young people at our school. The School Counsellor will work closely with a number of young people who are experiencing difficulties and support them to overcome barriers to their learning. You will join our experienced pastoral team and work alongside outside agencies to ensure the well-being, attendance, progress and achievement of the young people.

Essential qualifications for this post:

  • Post Graduate Diploma or relevant qualification in counselling or psychotherapy.
  • BACP Accreditation, UKCP registration or BPD.

The post is part-time for 14 hours per week (working Mondays and Fridays), term time only including INSET days (39 weeks a year).
