School Direct Salaried Trainee Teacher job summary

Train to become a teacher with the Greenwood Academies Trust and benefit from a tailored package of support and development from outstanding, experienced teachers and tutors.

In conjunction with our accredited provider Best Practice Network we are offering salaried training places to start in September 2025. Based at Green Oaks Primary Academy, trainees will study for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Masters credits, and a QTS award.

Since 2013 we have successfully trained more than 250 teachers through academy-based ITT, with many former trainees now in school leadership positions.

In order to apply you must have:

  • Significant experience of teaching in a UK mainstream classroom
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and maths (and science for Primary trainees)
  • UK Honours Degree at 2:2 or above
  • UK ENIC comparability for overseas Degree/GCSE equivalence

The successful candidate will also be required to complete a DfE application and further selection process with the training provider prior to offer.
