Rickmansworth School is looking for a motivated and confident individual to join our award-winning Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership. Based at Rickmansworth School, this role offers the opportunity to deliver and develop the School Games and wider partnership programmes across 40 infant, primary and secondary schools.

The Partnership is a leading example of best practice, enhancing PE, physical activity and school sport for thousands of young people each year through inclusive competitions, from intra-school events to county finals. The role involves working closely with School Sports Coordinators to run family competitions and other events, while supporting initiatives such as The Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnerships and RFU rugby programmes.

The successful candidate will gain a broad understanding of sports development, creating pathways in coaching, officiating and sports leadership for pupils aged 5-18 and fostering youth leadership through volunteering and officiating opportunities.

Selection Process:

We are required for only shortlisted candidates to conduct online searches about an applicant as part of our shortlisting process in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance 2025 in order to identify any incidents or concerns which are publicly available online. On signing the declaration on application you will be agreeing to the acknowledgement that such searches will be conducted as part of the shortlisting process.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the school where there will be a number of related tasks, details of which will be discussed on the day. Interviews will be held with the Headteacher and possibly another member of SLT. There will also be a tour of the school estate and this may be conducted by other members of the school community.

Rickmansworth School is an 11-18 heavily oversubscribed co-educational partially (35%) selective academy with nearly 1455 students on roll, increasing to around 1575 students over the next five years. Academic results are strong at KS4 and KS5 with the vast majority of students securing their first choice university destinations.
