The Job:
We are pleased to invite applications for the role of School Improvement Lead (Mathematics & Numeracy). Our goal is to ensure that every school within our Trust delivers the highest standards of education and provides the best possible outcomes for all students.
You will be a driving force in raising standards and transforming outcomes for pupils across all Trust schools. Through inspirational leadership and deep expertise in literacy, the postholder will enhance the quality of teaching, learning, curriculum design, assessment, and targeted intervention. Working in close partnership with school leaders, the role will shape and deliver ambitious improvement priorities, providing both strategic vision and practical support to secure sustained excellence. The School Improvement Lead will rigorously evaluate impact, strengthen self-evaluation, and model outstanding practice, including teaching across Trust schools where appropriate, to directly influence improvement and embed a culture of high expectations and continuous growth.

The Job:
- To raise standards across all Trust schools by improving the quality of teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment, and interventions in Mathematics and Numeracy.
- To lead on school improvement in Mathematics and Numeracy across Trust’s schools, working with leaders to identify improvement priorities and support improvement.
- To evaluate progress, accuracy of self-evaluation and provide strategic and operational support.
- To teach across Trust schools dependent on school and Trust identified priorities.
What are the job requirements?
- Current Ofsted Inspector or willingness to train to become an inspector
- Graduate with Qualified Teacher Status
- Evidence of recent professional development such as NPQSL (or above)/master’s level qualification
- A minimum of 3 years of senior leadership experience in a mainstream secondary setting
- Proven record of school improvement and raising standards as a leader.
- The skills and knowledge to design effective professional development programmes and materials, including coaching and mentoring colleagues
- Up to date subject knowledge of a core subject including national policy, pedagogy, and curriculum
