School Lifeguard job summary

Part time/school hours working will be considered

Are you calm under pressure, passionate about safety, and love working with young people? We're looking for a dedicated School Lifeguard to help keep our students safe and confident in the water.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervise swimming lessons for both secondary and primary students.
  • Ensure the safety of all students and staff in and around the pool
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies
  • Maintain poolside cleanliness and safety standards
  • Support PE staff with other tasks within the PE department.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A valid NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
  • Excellent communication and observation skills
  • A proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • A calm, reassuring presence
