School Meals Supervisory Assistant job summary
The School Meals Supervisory Assistant will provide effective supervision of pupils during the academy lunchtime, to ensure safety and maintain standards of behaviour, and contribute to improving outcomes for pupils by actively supporting the aims, objectives and ethos of the academy.
Main duties and responsibilities
Supervise pupils on their break / lunchtime
Supervise queues of children waiting to enter the dining hall
Supervise children in the dining hall
Positively reinforce good behaviour in line with the behaviour policy
Attend to pupils; personal needs and implement appropriate procedures to deal with social health, physical, hygiene, first-aid, cultural and welfare matters
Establish good relationships with pupils
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
Support positive play by engaging children in games indoors and outdoors
Leave the dining hall and areas used during lunchtime clean and tidy
To be on duty at the times identified as directed by the Principal
Gain knowledge of academy policies and procedures relevant to the post
Be aware of Child Protection and report any concerns to a senior member of staff
