School Office and Finance Manager job summary

Our current school office and finance manager leaves St John's after over twenty years of dedicated service. We are now looking for an experienced and dynamic individual ready to lead a high-performing team in a vibrant primary school. We are seeking a School Office and Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient running of our school’s administrative functions. This role is for 21 hours per week, term time only.

About the Role

As our School Office and Finance Manager, you will be the heartbeat of our school’s operations—leading the front-office team, supporting the Headteacher and School Business Manager, and ensuring that communication and administration are seamless and professional. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a busy, friendly, and forward-thinking school environment.

Job Purpose

  • To assist the School Business Manager on all that is the provision and development of administration support services.
  • Office Manager of the School Office, leading a team of three.
  • Provide a comprehensive financial administration service
  • Administer all invoicing and payments
  • Responsible for designated Procurement Cards
  • Assist the School Business Manager to maintain accurate financial records and information management systems.
  • Lead on all procurement administration, ensuring best value at all times
  • Be responsible for undertaking administrative and financial processes within the school
  • Offer exceptional customer care to all stakeholders
