Hockering Primary Academy is a very small school and forms part of the Eden Federation within the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust. We are seeking a highly organised, friendly and efficient School Secretary to join our Team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for parents, pupils and visitors and will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the School Business Manager, Senior Management Team and staff.
- Manage the school reception and act as the first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries
- Maintain pupil records and school databases
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Assist with attendance records and reporting
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will have
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- The ability to work calmly in a busy environment
- Previous administrative experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Working Hours
The exact working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate however the ideal hours would be Monday to Friday 8am to 12 noon
